About the prints : We offer photographic fine art prints. Our Fine Art Prints are all digitally printed. We believe, that digital ink prints with special archival inks and papers are definitely today’s smartest way to produce photographic Fine Art Prints at its best. For this we only use especially tested inks and papers:
.) For Black and White Prints we use MIS pigmented inks on a Large Format Printer EPSON Stylus Pro 7000. This ink is state of the art in archival inks. These inks have been specially formulated for Epson printers. They are fully pigmented ink, which has an extremely high degree of UV resistance and high water resistance. The estimated archival life will exceed conventional inks by many times when used with archival paper. They have been tested by Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and rated to last 49 years under display conditions.
.) For Color Prints we use the new original EPSON ULTRACHROME inks on a Large Format Printer EPSON Stylus Pro 9600/ 3880. These ink are tested through the Wilhelm Research Laboratories, and are archival proofed for over 80 years.
.) We use the HAHNEMUEHLE PHOTO-RAG 100% cotton-paper with 188 or 310 g/qm, as we believe, the best paper to print on. HAHNEMUEHLE is a German company, which produces traditional Fine Art papers since the 16th century. Their mould-made Inkjet natural line 100% Rag Photo Rag 188 or 310 is a single side coated, traditional fine art media. Made in their own Paper Mill, the surface inkjet coating is a special matte coating, designed for high quality digital fine art reproduction and print applications on inkjet plotters and printers.
.) We scan our analog photo-negatives with an IMACON FLEX THIGHT PHOTO scanner at 3200dpi. This scanner has a unique scan technology that produces as fine results as a traditional drum scanner.
